THE DIGEST
Foster Siblings Reunite at Kidspace’s Birthday Palooza
Kidspace Children’s Museum hosted its annual “Birthday Palooza” this past Saturday, bringing together siblings who have been separated in the foster care system for a shared birthday celebration.
About 200 kids filled the Brookside Park campus for a full day of activities, performances, and all the usual birthday staples like cake and gifts. But the bigger focus was time together. For many of these kids, birthdays have passed without their brothers or sisters, so the event creates a rare chance to reconnect in a setting that feels normal and fun.
The event is part of an ongoing partnership with Foster Love and has grown into something families look forward to each year. It also reflects a broader push from the museum to support foster youth through programs that go beyond a single day and focus on connection and stability.
