THE DIGEST
Super Bowl Sunday in Pasadena: Where to Watch
Apparently, Bad Bunny got his stage name from a childhood photo — when he was in school he had to dress up as a bunny and wasn’t happy about it, and the grumpy picture stuck with him.
Super Bowl LX is this Sunday (3:30 PM kickoff), and if you’re watching out instead of at home, Pasadena and Altadena have plenty of solid options.
For big screens and a full watch-party atmosphere, The 35er, The Mixx, and Barney’s Beanery are hosting game-day watch parties with sound on, drink specials, and seating throughout their spaces. Beer-focused spots like Lucky Baldwin’s Pub, T. Boyles Tavern, Cerveceria del Pueblo, and Kings Row Gastropub are also reliable choices.
If food is the priority, places like Rocco’s Tavern, Craft by Smoke & Fire (very good BBQ food!), and Yard House are serving classic game-day menus and plenty of TVs. Altadena residents can stay close by at Good Neighbor Bar— they usually have a food vendor at their outside patio.
Hosting at home? Agnes Restaurant & Cheesery is offering cheese and charcuterie platters that work well for Super Bowl gatherings.

CIVIC NEWS
Free Coyote Hazing Workshop
Coyotes are more active right now as mating season ramps up, and the City is reminding residents how to respond. Tomorrow, Saturday, February 7, Pasadena Humane and the Pasadena Public Health Department are hosting a free Coyote Hazing Workshop from 9:30–11AM at Pasadena Humane’s campus on South Raymond Avenue.
The session will cover how to recognize coyote behavior and use hazing techniques like making noise, standing your ground, and using visual deterrents to reinforce coyotes’ natural fear of humans. City officials say hazing is the most effective way to reduce risky encounters, especially during mating season when coyotes roam more widely.
The workshop is open to the public and includes time for questions with wildlife experts. Parking is available on-site and nearby.
If you’ve spotted a coyote, sightings can be reported to the City Service Center at (626) 744-7311. Aggressive behavior should be reported to Pasadena Humane at (626) 792-7151.
