Good morning, Pasadena. This is News N’ Roses. Although it’s much darker early in the morning, I really love that the sun sets later in the day. My vote is we keep daylight savings time permanent. What do you think?

THE DIGEST
Bacari Coming to One Colorado
I saw a sign taped to the window of the longtime Sage Regenerative Kitchen space in the One Colorado courtyard. It was a public notice of application to sell alcoholic beverages. The listed business applicant: Bacari.
Mediterranean small-plates restaurant Bacari is coming to Old Town Pasadena. The restaurant will occupy 41 Hugus Alley, Suite S41 (next to Javiers) and span about 5,252 square feet, making it one of the larger dining spaces in the center with room for both indoor seating and courtyard dining. Renovations are expected to begin in May, with a soft opening targeted for early 2027, according to reporting from L.A. Business First.
Bacari has built a following across Los Angeles with locations in Silver Lake, Glendale, and West Third, known for its Mediterranean-inspired small plates, shareable cicchetti, strong wine program, and lively patio atmosphere.
The opening adds another restaurant to the lineup at One Colorado, which has been bringing in several new tenants recently. If all goes to plan, Bacari will open its Pasadena doors in early 2027.
Glow Before Dark Brings an Early-Evening Dance Party to Pasadena
Glow Before Dark is bringing a different kind of dance party to Pasadena: one designed for people who still love the dance floor but aren’t looking to stay out all night.
Created by longtime friends Grace Ladewig and Jenny Yoon, the event blends the music that defined a generation with the energy of a modern dance party. The playlist moves through 80s new wave, 90s dance and alternative favorites, along with modern electronic music.

The idea grew from their own experience growing up in La Crescenta, where music — especially what they discovered on 106.7 KROQ — shaped friendships and memories that stuck long after high school.
Glow Before Dark is happening in Pasadena on Saturday, March 21 at The Mixx Pasadena, offering an early-evening chance to dance, reconnect with the music of the era, and head home before the night gets too late. Get tickets here!
