Hi, I’m Matthew.

I tutor kids and adults — from elementary school through high school and college. I’m patient, easy to work with, and I’ve learned how to understand where a student is struggling so we can build up their fundamentals and study skills the right way.

I help with homework, test prep, and regular academic support in whatever subjects a student needs. Every student learns differently, and I adjust my teaching style to match what makes sense for them. Whether someone needs to catch up, get ahead, or just feel more confident, I focus on clear explanations, steady progress, and making sure they feel comfortable asking questions.

I’m based in Pasadena, and I can travel to you anywhere in the area — including La Cañada, Altadena, Monrovia, and nearby cities. If you prefer, we can also meet online over Zoom.

I offer a free one-hour first session.

About Me

I’m Matthew. I have worked as aerospace engineer and pilot with over eight years of experience at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and many other aerospace companies. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics from St. Joseph’s College (NY) and a Master’s of Science in Space Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

I’ve spent four years tutoring students in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and engineering subjects, as well as helping with writing, SAT preparation, resume writing, and general academic support. I also teach Spanish and Latin to both students and adults.
